Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with TLT Commerce Group — from getting started to how we handle logistics, marketplaces, and fulfillment.

General
TLT Commerce Group is an end-to-end U.S. market expansion partner. We help two types of clients: (1) Chinese manufacturers and international brands that want to enter and sell in the U.S. market, and (2) U.S. brands and companies that need broader retail distribution, marketplace management, or logistics support. Our services cover everything from ocean freight and customs clearance to 3PL fulfillment, Amazon and Walmart management, retail distribution, brand licensing, and inventory funding — all under one roof.
TLT Commerce Group is based in Los Angeles, California. Our 3PL fulfillment partner operates a 300,000 square foot warehouse facility in Los Angeles — strategically located near the Port of Los Angeles, the largest container port in the United States. This gives us fast turnaround from container arrival to inventory ready to ship.
Absolutely — you can use as many or as few services as you need. Many clients start with one service (like marketplace management or logistics) and add others as their U.S. business grows. Some companies only need a marketplace expert. Others need the full factory-to-shelf solution. We'll build an engagement around your specific situation.
The best starting point is a free consultation call where we learn about your business, your current situation, and your U.S. market goals. You can request a consultation on our Contact page — we typically respond within one business day.
For Chinese Manufacturers & International Brands
Yes. Our operations team includes bilingual Mandarin and English support, and our Los Angeles 3PL partner has Chinese-speaking staff on-site. You can reach out to us in Mandarin and we'll respond accordingly.
Our Los Angeles fulfillment partner is owned in partnership with a Chinese business. The management team understands Chinese business culture, there's built-in trust for Chinese manufacturers shipping goods overseas, and real-time inventory visibility is available in formats familiar to Chinese operations teams.
The most common starting point is an initial U.S. market assessment — we review your products, manufacturing capabilities, target price points, and identify the most appropriate U.S. sales channels. We typically begin with logistics planning and Amazon marketplace setup, then expand into additional retailers.
Yes — full logistics management is one of our core services. This includes ocean freight booking, customs clearance documentation, tariff classification, Importer of Record (IOR) services, duty calculations, and port-to-warehouse trucking. We also help manufacturers understand their true landed costs before the first shipment.
Possibly — it depends on your current performance and goals. Many Chinese sellers on Amazon find they're limited by language barriers, compliance issues that get accounts suppressed, and lack of access to 1P Vendor Central or retailer channels beyond Amazon. We can audit your current account and identify gaps.
For U.S. Brands & Companies
This is one of the most common engagements we take on. We have direct experience with retailer onboarding at each of these accounts and can significantly accelerate the timeline. In many cases, marketplace success can also lead to in-store placement opportunities.
Amazon Vendor Central (1P) is an invite-only program where Amazon purchases your products wholesale and sells them directly — which typically converts better than 3P seller listings. The tradeoff is less pricing control and more complex compliance requirements. We have extensive 1P experience and can evaluate whether it makes sense for your brand.
Yes — for qualified companies and brands. Inventory funding is available to help companies take on larger purchase orders, stock up for new retailer entries, or fund seasonal inventory builds. Eligibility is based on sales history, product category, and current channel performance.
Logistics, Fulfillment & Operations
Our fulfillment partner operates a 300,000 square foot facility in Los Angeles. The facility handles full container receiving, SKU-level inventory management, FBA prep for Amazon, WFS routing for Walmart, last-mile shipping, and returns processing.
Last-mile fulfillment refers to final delivery from our warehouse to the end customer. Through our preferred carrier relationships and volume, we offer competitive rates typically better than what individual sellers can negotiate. Contact us for a quote based on your specific product profile.
Licensing
The most common licensed product categories include toys and children's products, apparel and accessories, home décor, backpacks and bags, drinkware, and consumer electronics accessories. We can help assess whether your product category is a candidate and which licensing properties might be the best match.
No — and be wary of anyone who does. Licensing approval is ultimately the licensor's decision. What we provide is introductions, guidance on the approval process, and operational support throughout — significantly improving your chances and reducing costly mistakes.
